Early 1940s Hairdo of Gorgeous Star Hedy Lamarr

Hedy was one of the few 1940s female celebrities who had center-parted hair. (Most had side-parted hairstyles, unlike nowadays, except for some short hairstyles.) This one above wasn't her best hair style--it has the unflattering shape of a helmet--and exaggerates her relatively wide forehead.

Men the world over got lost in her gorgeous eyes and she was easily cast in golden-era movies as a femme fatale. She played Delilah in Samson and Delilah (1949); and the extremely manipulative Jenny Hager in The Strange Woman (1946).

Hedy Lamarr's classic beauty is still appreciated and enjoyed today. Not many years ago, Corel chose her 40s face for its CorelDraw software packaging. Lamarr, who was a very litigious woman, sued them, because she had not approved the use of her likeness.
